Job Description

• Workplace Administrator

Tasks:

• Gatekeeping of software-requests (+licenses and maintenance contracts)
• Intakes of new software & upgrades: collect sources, installation scripts, licenses.
• Writing installation scripts if not available: this can be done by executing an installation on an intake-VDI
• Elaboration of IT – Basic Tests and the execution of them as soon as a software arrives in test env.
• Introduction of requests (updating security settings, an opening of firewall ports, scripting new software packages…)
• Problem-solving
• Release management (planning + test team)
• Follow-up of own installed applications on VDI's or DEV-servers

Know-How:

• Citrix technology (AppSense, Appv)
• Virtualization technology (VDI)
• SCCM & software distribution Technology
• Application-development and scripting (at minimum 1 language Java, .NET, Python, C, …)
• Very good documentation skills
• Planning of activities
• Coordination of test activities
